Habitat for Humanity
Deprigo Media has been a fantastic resource for our community and a great blessing to Habitat For Humanity Golden Empire for many years. The staff is personable, the service is professional, and the way they empower non-profits through the discounted pricing allows us to expand our ministry at a great price. If you don’t know G and Jonny, you will soon. Deprigo Media is active in our community and their creative work is displayed all over the county. Habitat For Humanity GE is thankful for their willingness to sponsor events for our cause.
Habitat for Humanity
Habitat For Humanity Golden Empire is a private non-profit home builder whose aim is to eliminate poverty housing in Kern County. We believe that people are made in the image of God and should have an opportunity to access safe, decent, and affordable shelter. We partner with low-income residents who are interested in building and buying their own home; most of which never thought the dream of home ownership would be a possibility. This dream is made possible through generous sponsors, caring donors, and willing volunteers who partner with the potential homeowner to turn a dirt lot into a place of security for a family in need.
We also serve current homeowners who are unable to make necessary repairs to preserve their home. Many of these individuals or families are on a fixed income and cannot afford large payments for repairs. In addition to financial constraints, most of these households lack the physical ability to complete the repairs themselves. This is when Habitat For Humanity steps in to fill a gap in need. With the help of sponsors, generous donors, and volunteers we are able to complete the repairs at a minimal cost and the homeowner would have a drastically smaller monthly payment over a long period of time. This allows the need to be met so that the homeowner can enjoy his or her home in safety while still allowing the homeowner to invest back into the program to help someone just like them.
